A&E Teases DAMIEN, THE OMEN-Inspired TV Show{0}
A teaser trailer has dropped for Damien, the upcoming drama series inspired by The Omen, which will debut with 10 episodes on US network A&E (Bates Motel) early next year.
The series, currently in production in Toronto, is produced by Glen Mazzara, whose credits include The Shield and The Walking Dead, and stars Bradley james (Merlin, Homeland) as Damien Thorn, alongside Barbara Hershey, Omid Abtahi (Better Call Saul) and Megalyn Echikunwoke (House of Lies).
The series follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 movie (and the dud 2006 remake), who has grown up unaware of the demonic forces surrounding him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny – that he is the Antichrist. Hershey plays Ann Rutledge, the woman tasked with ensuring Damien fulfils his destiny, while Abtahi plays a colleague of Damien’s whose fierce loyalty will be tested when he learns the truth about his friend’s birthright. Shekar Kapur (Elizabeth) directed and executive produced the first episode.
