Six of the Best: Coming Soon to TheHorrorShow.TV{0}
Horror-themed VOD platform TheHorrorShow.TV has six more movies scheduled for the coming weeks, including the UK premieres of Dark Summer, Leprechaun’s Revenge and Bedlam. The scary sextet joins the other 250 films, many of them exclusives, on the UK’s home of horror on demand, which offers pay-as-you-go (stream or download) or Netflix-style monthly subscription, which gives horror fans access to a growing number of the platform’s films for just £2.99 per month.
Check out more details of the new arrivals after the jump.
The Ghastly Love of Johnny X (February TBC)
A truly mad concoction, blending 1950s juvenile delinquents, sci-fi melodrama, song-and-dance, and a touch of horror, everything in just the right combination to create an engaging big screen spectacle! This curious and curiously entertaining story involves one Jonathan Xavier and his devoted misfit gang who, incidentally, have been exiled to Earth from the far reaches of outer space. Johnny’s former girlfriend Bliss has left him and stolen his Resurrection Suit, a cosmic, mind-bending uniform that gives the owner power over others. Along the way, there will be several highly stylized musical numbers, lots of genuinely humorous dialogue, and a wacky plot-twist or two, all beautifully captured on the very last of Kodak’s black-and-white Plus-X film stock.
Red Trail 90 (February TBC)
A troubled yet loving family man on a solo adventure deep in the wilderness has a gruesome accident and is the only witness to an unspeakable horror that forces him to fight for his life against a mysterious killer.
Leprechaun’s Revenge (March 9)
Sixty-six years ago the town of Irish Channel in Louisiana was the site of a horrible massacre on St. Patrick’s Day. Some blame a terrible storm that blew through the town, but those that were there don’t speak of the truth. Due to petty superstitions St. Patrick’s Day festivities were banned for the last 66 years, but now the new Mayor wants to tempt fate and celebrate.
Bedlam (March 16)
George is a haunted man. He enters Bedlam Hospital for a guaranteed recovery, but it is a world darker than even his demons could conjure. Once, he fought for sanity, now he fights to survive. Welcome to Bedlam.
Nightmare, aka Dark Circles (March 23)
Alex and Penny are sick of the hectic city life and decide a move out to the country to raise their newborn child. But they don’t expect the horrors threatening their relationship and family.
Dark Summer (April 6)
Summer is a time to relax, unwind, take a vacation, and be free. But 17 year old Daniel Austin gets none of that because his obsessive online stalking of his classmate and crush, Mona Wilson, got him put on house arrest for the whole summer. So, no cell phone, no Internet, no leaving the property, and especially no Mona. Then Daniel’s single mother has to go on a long business trip, and Daniel has the place to himself. Daniel figures out a way to piggyback onto his neighbours wireless signal and, believing he’s surfing off the grid, uses his time to check in on his friends – and Mona. But what Daniel didn’t expect is for Mona to check up on him. And what she does next shakes him to his very core. And then things start to happen. Daniel receives mysterious packages in the mail, hears phantom noises, sees inanimate objects move, and feels a strange presence in the house.
